Born from a week no family should walk alone.

Solace Design Studio began the week we lost my husband's mother.

I realized our family needed help with the arrangements, so I found myself trying to build a full memorial suite from scratch — an obituary, a program, a prayer card, a table — with almost no time and no roadmap. I was grieving and designing at the same time.

I remember thinking: no one should have to do this like this. Grieving families shouldn't have to become designers overnight to honor someone they loved. That single thought became the studio.

Today, Solace is a small, careful practice built around a simple promise: we handle the words, the printing, and the design so families can spend the week the way they should — remembering, gathering, and holding one another.

Every piece is designed for one life. Every family gets our full attention. Nothing is templated. Nothing is rushed past what it deserves.
